The United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) Method 8270 is used to determine the concentration of semivolatile organic compounds in extracts prepared from solid waste matrices, soils, air samples, and water samples by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). LECO has introduced a new GC Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer (GC-TOFMS) that exceeds the analytical demands of this method enabling the user to run split injections for increased uptime and still meet the sensitivity requirements of EPA Method 8270.
